FUN NORTH COAST FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Cedar Point, voted the "Best Amusement Park in the World", offers 68 rides, 15 roller coasters, an 18-acre water park, family activity complex, four resort hotels, marina, RV campground, games, live entertainment, restaurants, and much, much more. For a unique historical view of an amusement park staple, visit the Merry Go Round Museum, which features authentic carousel horses. You can also watch the horses being restored to their original perfection by trained craftsmen.
More historical adventures include the Follett House Museum. This 1830s home features Civil War artifacts from the nearby Johnson's Island Confederate Officers Prison. Another historical favorite is the Edison Birthplace, home of Thomas Edison. At his home you can take a tour and see displays of some of his accomplishments as the world's greatest inventor.

On the Lake Erie coast, outdoor summer fun abounds! There are many ways to get to the islands such as the Goodtime (coupon), and more. At Kelley’s Island, you and your family will enjoy spending the day hiking, picnicking, fishing, and camping. There is always something going on at Put-in-Bay! A peek at their calendar reveals many entertaining events coming up for the summer of 2002, such as the Mills Trophy Race, June 7th-9th, their 4th of July fireworks display, and the ILYA Boat Regatta July 30th-August 7, 2002.
Lake Erie can't be beat for it's great sport fishing! Numerous fishing charters are available for walleye, yellow perch, bass, and more!

While staying in the area, Sandusky offers several churches to choose from such as St. Mary’s Church, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and The Chapel. There are also many terrific golf courses to as Woussickett Golf Course, Thunderbird Hills and Green Hills Golf Course.
